Why Your Support Matters

Friends of Hawthorne is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to supporting Hawthorne Elementary, a Seattle Public School in the heart of the Rainier Valley. In 2023, Hawthorne lost a significant percentage of its budget after the end of Title I funding. Rather than allow our students to lose essential services, our community stepped up and we’re inviting local businesses and organizations to join us.

Your support helps ensure:

  • A full-time school counselor

  • After-school enrichment programs for all students

  • Teacher classroom supplies

  • Community-building events that bring families together

  • Direct support for high-needs families

  • And so much more that makes Hawthorne a vibrant, joyful place to learn

Support Hawthorne’s biggest fundraising event of the year by donating an item from your business or organization.

  • A photo of the item

  • Your organization and contact details
