Hawthorne is excited to announce that we will be hosting our first AAPI Luncheon for our AAPI families, students, and staff on May 12th at 1pm.

The organizing committee is asking for a couple attendees to help with the planned activites and to stay after to help with clean-up.

Monday, May 11th in the Hawthorne cafeteria
Kindergarten - 2nd grade perform from 5:30 - 6:30pm
3rd - 5th grade perform from 7:00 - 7:45pm
This event brings out our largest crowds of the school year and seating is limited to the cafeteria. We need volunteers to help set up chairs, hand out programs, keep the classes organized outside while they wait to perform and more.

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade:

• Arrive at 5:10pm and line up by class in the covered area by the gym, students may wear costumes (see ideas below)

• Performance is from 5:30 - 6:30pm.

  • Each grade will be escorted inside to the stage, sing one song from either Oz or Wicked and then be escorted back outside until the finale

  • For the finale, all Kindergarten - 2nd grade classes will be escorted to the stage to perform one final song together

3rd - 5th Grade:

• Arrive at 6:40pm and line up by class in the covered area by the gym, students may wear costumes (see ideas below)

• Performance is from 7:00 - 7:45pm.

  • Each grade will be escorted inside to the stage, sing one song from either Oz or Wicked and then be escorted back outside until the finale

  • For the finale, all 3rd - 5th grade classes will be escorted to the stage to perform one final song together

Come help clean up and get the Hawthorne playground ready for spring. All ages welcome! Light refreshments provided.

Join the 5th Grade teaching team and other 5th grade families in the Hawthorne library to learn more about the 5th Grade camping trip

Principal Flavors will present Hawthorne’s SPS allocations for the 2026/27 school year, describe any challenges and answer questions. FOH will present a plan to help mitigate any allocation challenges. A vote will be required - all attendees may vote.

Dinner and free childcare provided.

Families that purchased a school picture package will receive a class picture.
