Playground Phase 1 Finished!

We did it! The new Hawthorne play space is open!

Over 200 students, family members, Hawthorne staff, and community members braved the rain to put the finishing touches on the first phase of the new playground. We moved mountains of wood chips, planted hundreds of plants and trees, weeded the garden, and cleaned up the entire school yard so it will be open to our students! And though VERY wet, we worked together with a lot of laughter and smiles! Thank you all for your contributions. I am so proud to be a part of this amazing community!
