Class Supplies!
/Hello Hawthorne community,
Thank you for your patience as we work to provide the most accurate and helpful information regarding school supply purchases for the upcoming school year. We recently sent out a communication describing the unforeseen financial challenges we faced in our efforts to purchase supplies for all students and asked that you aid us by providing select supplies for your students. After this message was sent out to our community, an anonymous donor offered to provide the remaining funds needed to purchase ALL of the supplies for our school! Needless to say, we were stunned by this generous gift.
In light of this new development, we are moving forward with our original pledge of purchasing all needed school supplies for every Hawthorne student, and have pulled the supply lists from our website. If you have already started buying supplies for your student, please bring them to school anyway – they can and will be used!
Finally, please note that even with the generosity of the anonymous donation, the total cost of supplies still exceeds our projected financial estimates. We ask that you consider making a small donation to further defray these costs. Every dollar you give will help us provide other, much-needed services to our school. If you are able, we are asking for a donation of $25 per student; you may donate by visiting our website and clicking the yellow “donate” button or by completing a donation form (sent home the first day of school) and returning it to the school office.
